Breast and Cervical Cancer Program

Prioritizing Women’s Health

Through travel and working in other countries it became apparent that women’s health is often not made a priority despite the impact that it has on the vitality and stability of a society and a family.  For this reason Dr. Bassett has chosen to devote herself to assisting women in making their health a priority, not only through the services offered at Vitalia but also as a BCCP provider.

Oregon Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (BCCP) is a program that helps low-income, uninsured, and medically underserved women gain access to lifesaving screening programs for early detection of breast and cervical cancers. Each year, approximately 7,000 eligible individuals receive screening services. BCCP is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Oregon and SW Washington Affiliate, and the American Cancer Society.
